So the next two months I spent in a daze
As Dubbya talked about a new crusade
Against those who hate us cause we're free
They even hate democracy!
Funny thing coming from a man who didn't get elected!

So we all sat there terrified
As they tried to find this Bin Ladin guy
And we didn't but you know we found
Plenty of other folks that all were brown
Prez called em evildoers.
I call em scapegoats!

Finally we started to relax

When suddenly the Prez came on tv
And said "It's time! It's time!
"To free the Iraqis!"
Free em…bomb em…what's the difference?

Well a lot of folks got good n pissed
Said we got no right to be doin this
But the tv said if you're pro-UN
Then you must be anti-American!
Support our troops! Let em die!

And then the bombing it began
White House sure did take a stand
Talkin bout Iraqi democracy
But I think I've already pointed out that irony!
Shucks.
So this is what it feels like to be German!

Now this song is probably out of date by now
The world keeps on a goin round
But I'll tell you something, don't forget
There's a lot you don't know about the government
There's a lot they don't know either
At least when it comes to human rights!
